A Duality of Harmony and Chaos
Soviet Jesus Choir is a trans femme-fronted Alternative Post-Folk band founded in 2019 that is currently performing and promoting the first single from their fast approaching second album.
Soviet Jesus Choir's sound is concocted by drummer Sam Kempner's thunderously orchestral pulse and guitarist Nick Hodges' intricately melodious harmony; both of which are propelled by the challenging, yet brutally honest storytelling of lead vocalist and primary songwriter Layla Cima.
With careful attention to recording arrangements and live presentations, the band earns highly emotive responses from their audience that cater to the complexities of the human condition.

Concerning "Recalibrated":
"The emotion throughout this song was exceptional. The slow, raw start was really poignant, then the moment the instrumental kicked in the song was taken to a whole new level of masterpiece. This is genuinely one of the best new songs I have heard in some time."

Each time someone embarks on this journey, they bring forth something unique. The magic lies in fact that reality is ever-evolving, transforming with each new melody.
This is truly enchanting."
